True Story!!

Caption:  It looks like someone is reminding us it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As I was getting ready for work, I noticed the sky was beginning to brighten.  I looked out the window and saw the sun was just barely coming up.  A minute or so later I noticed the sky was a bit brighter and was a very, very pale pink.  I got my camera, went upstairs, removed the screen from the bedroom window, leaned out and snapped this picture.  I closed the window and went back downstairs.  I then decided I should get a safety shot.   I grabbed my camera and went back up stairs.  Although it had been less than a minute, the sky was now grey.  There was no hint of the pink sky I had just photographed.

365 Project/October 2009

I got a bit behind in posting my 365 pictures. Blogger can be a bit persnickety with pictures, but I'll do my best. Think it'll be easier of I categorize them by month. Enjoy!

11.1.09 It's an apple tree with no leaves,
but a lot of apples.

10.31.09 Beautiful Halloween Sky!

10.30.09 It's raining again.  In fact, it's rained 19 days
in October.

10.19.09 This was taken at the Peninsula Hotel in
Chicago.  Tomorrow is the last day of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month.  Maybe this will be the year for a cure.
Special thanks to Christine Hearne for tell me about these ribbons.

10.28.09 I hope I'm not boring you with all the Fall pictures,
but soon all of these colors will be gone and I'll miss them.

10.27.09 All this picture needs is me and a good book.

What a beautiful day.

10.18.09 Pink and white balloons that represented the
finish of a 5 mile walk for Breast Cancer. (Walked for
a friend's husband who was recently diagnosed).

so beautiful.

10.16.09 Trying to figure out why they had all of
these popsicle sticks in the doctor's office.

10.15.09 Here's what I learned today.

10.14.09 Two months ago I didn't know what this was,
but now I do.  It rolls up the hand wraps I wear for
kickboxing quite nicely.  Who knew?

10.13.09 Fruit and fun lighting.

10.12.09 The Republic (Golden Lady). She's 24 feet high,
